Theatre Van Der Freikos
Following the success of this years tour, next summer we are pairing up with Director Ian Spiby to devise a funny, edgy and entertaining show called “Theatre van der Friekos” for touring to music and arts festivals accross the United Kingdom.
It is the story of a travelling theatre company run by a family of vampires. Produced to a soundtrack of Victorian music remixed by contemporary artists, theatre performances will take many forms including: melodrama, burlesque, strong man, stand-up, clowning, drag, physical theatre and song for both solo and chorus.
Performing acts are interwoven with storylines from the Gothic vampire tradition encapsulated in James Planche's 1820 play, "The Vampyr" together with characters which have a foundation in conventional archetype.
