Over the next twelve months Galli Galli is delivering a ground-breaking project that links arts organizations across the East Midlands.

In the first stage we are running ten weeks of exciting acting, dancing and other performing arts lessons to looked-after young people and children in care within the areas of Leicester, Derby and Wellingborough.  

These sessions will be focused on skills development and will culminate in a performance and/or showing of a documentary at the end of the project at one of our three venues. The Y Theatre in Leicester; DEDA in Derby and The Castle Theatre in Wellingborough.

Second stage begins in January 2012 and runs for twelve weeks. During this time the young people will work with a range of professional theatre practitioners and other young people in their group to devise a performance piece. Once the production is completed, each group will tour their show to a venue in a different part of the Midlands.
